Australian Lucy Barnard on mission to break world record walking from Tierra Del Fuego to Alaska

On Evenings with Chris Bath

Does the thought of walking from one end of the earth to the other seem impossible?

Not for Aussie woman Lucy Barnard who was inspired while reading a book to walk all the way from Argentina to Alaska. If she completes the mission she’s set herself – she’ll be the first woman in the world to do it.

So far Lucy’s walked through the worst Argentinian winter in twenty years, and been delayed by technical issues – but it’s not put her off the solo walk of a lifetime that she won’t finish until the year 2021.

Chris Bath caught up with her while she’s taking a couple of days to eat salad – and icecream – in Conception, Chile.
